Just a girl who didn't know what she wanted out of life.
She joined the U.S. Army and became a nurse. Very quickly, she realized nursing was not for her, so she went to school and got a degree in Biochemistry. After a few mobilizations, deployments, and jobs that left her burnt out and aimless, she finished out her Army contract and said goodbye to healthcare.
One night, her dad asked her what she dreamed of doing in life. She said, "I just want to have my own cafe, sip espresso, host open-mic nights, and wind down with my friends and family over a nice bottle of wine."
The next few weeks, she spoke about her dreams of having a place where students could study and figure out their passions and and goals in life. She wanted a place where people like her could be comfortable in the unknown. A pastor chimed in and said, "Sounds like you want to build a safe haven for people. A place where people can relax and pursue their dreams at their own pace."
And with that, began a whole new chapter of her life. The beginning of Havenly Cafe.
Now, with a few years of barista experience under her belt, she is making her dream a reality. Starting with a mobile coffee bar, she is bringing her passion to the community with the firm belief that if you find your passion, they will come.
